
The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) is offering an exciting opportunity for young professionals through its 2025 Internship/Apprenticeship Program, aimed at enhancing employability by bridging the gap between academic training and real-world work experience. With 50 vacancies available, this one-year program is tailored to recent graduates holding degrees, diplomas, or certificates in various technical and administrative fields.
Established under the KAA Act Cap 395 in 1991, Kenya Airports Authority is responsible for the development, management, and operation of airport facilities throughout Kenya. KAA remains committed to providing a secure, efficient, and modern aviation infrastructure that supports the country’s economic growth and regional integration. The Internship/Apprenticeship Program is part of KAA’s broader talent development strategy, designed to build capacity for future roles in the aviation sector.
Program Overview
The Internship/Apprenticeship Program offers a 12-month placement across KAA’s key stations and departments. Selected candidates will gain practical exposure to real work environments within:
- KAA Head Office
- Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA)
- Moi International Airport (MIA)
- Wilson Airport (WAP)
- Eldoret International Airport (EIA)
- Kisumu International Airport (KIA)
Participants will be placed in departments aligned with their area of study, including engineering, finance, law, ICT, and administration.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for this program, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Hold a diploma or certificate in technical fields such as civil, electrical, electronic, electro-mechanical, masonry, plumbing, mechanics, or carpentry
- Hold a relevant university degree in finance, law, marketing, ICT, statistics, economics, human resources, procurement, supply chain, or risk management
- Must have graduated within the last two years
- Be 26 years or younger as of 1 January 2025 (born on or after 1 January 1999). Candidates from marginalized communities, minority groups, and persons with disabilities may be up to 28 years old (born on or after 1 January 1997)
- Possess a recommendation letter from a university or college attended

Important Notes

- The internship does not guarantee employment at the end of the program.
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Candidates who have previously benefited from any internship or industrial attachment program at KAA are not eligible.
