The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) Regional Centre Panaji, in collaboration with the Goa State Research Foundation (GSRF), invites applications for a 12-day Capacity Building Programme on Research Methodology. Sponsored by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), this programme aims to strengthen the academic and research skills of young faculty members in the field of social sciences.

Eligibility Criteria:
Regular faculty members (Assistant Professors and Associate Professors) from Universities, Colleges (including private), and Research Institutes engaged in teaching or research in Social Sciences are eligible to apply. Preference will be given to candidates with less exposure to research methodology.

Geographical Scope:
The programme primarily targets faculty members from Goa, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and other backward regions of India, although applicants from across the country are welcome.

This workshop is designed to:
Enhance participants’ ability to conduct high-quality, socially relevant research.
Strengthen academic writing and publication skills.
Develop capacities in selecting research designs, hypothesis formulation, and data collection techniques.

- Promote ethical research practices and effective dissemination of results.

- 20 from within Goa
- 10 from outside the state
