The Czech Republic Government Scholarship for studies at universities in the Czech Republic is governed by a Resolution of the Government of the Czech Republic No. 77 as of 28th January 2019.
It forms a part of a joint foreign development cooperation program pursued by the country’s Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Health.
The Government of the Czech Republic offers scholarships within the framework of its Foreign Development Assistance in support of the study of foreign nationals from developing and specific third countries listed below.
Czech Republic Government Scholarship Requirements:
To apply for the Czech Republic Government Scholarship 2026, please note the following;
- The scholarship is open to the citizens of the following countries: Nigeria, Guatamela, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, and Zambia.
- Citizens of all other countries are not eligible to apply.
- EU Citizens as well as Citizens of the Czech Republic can not apply.
- Students applying for the Master’s program must have obtained a bachelor’s Degree.
- Students applying for the PhD program must have obtained a bachelor’s Degree and a Master’s degree.

The Czech Republic Government Scholarship is designed to cover the standard length of study:

- CZK 16,000 per month for the Master’s Degree Student
- CZK 17,000 per month for the PhD Degree Student.
