Travel Consultant

Job Summary

  • The Travel Consultant will be responsible for handling customer inquiries, making travel bookings, creating customized travel packages, and providing expert advice to clients. The ideal candidate should be passionate about travel, have excellent communication skills, and be highly organized.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle customer inquiries via phone, email, WhatsApp, and walk-ins.
  • Provide expert advice on travel destinations, packages, visas, and travel insurance.
  • Book flights, hotels, transportation, and tours using online booking platforms (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, or travel portals).
  • Design and promote tailor-made and group tour packages for local and international destinations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of bookings, payments, and client preferences.
  • Provide post-booking support (e.g., flight changes, cancellations, travel updates).
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
  • Stay up to date with travel trends, visa requirements, and tourism developments.
  • Coordinate with partners (hotels, airlines, tour operators) to ensure smooth execution of travel arrangements.

Requirements

  • OND/HND/BSc in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 1–5 years of experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
  • Working knowledge of flight and hotel booking systems (e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, or OTA portals).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Customer-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic CRM tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Passion for travel and tourism.
  • Experience with visa processing or tour package design.
  • Familiarity with social media marketing or travel content creation.
