Description
- A hospitality business is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Floor Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing service flow and handling customer inquiries and complaints.
- The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills and a passion for hospitality.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate operations to ensure efficient service
- Lead and support service staff, providing training and guidance as needed
- Monitor customer satisfaction and address any complaints or concerns promptly
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations
- Oversee reservations, table assignments and seating arrangements to maximize efficiency
- Manage inventory and supplies, coordinating with suppliers as necessary
- Assist with cash handling, daily reports and operational documentation
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
- Foster a positive and professional work environment
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates and expectations.
Education and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
Experience and Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hospitality best practices and industry regulations
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
