Description

  • A hospitality business is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Floor Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure exceptional guest experiences.
  • The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising staff, managing service flow and handling customer inquiries and complaints.
  • The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills and a passion for hospitality.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate operations to ensure efficient service
  • Lead and support service staff, providing training and guidance as needed
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address any complaints or concerns promptly
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and sanitation regulations
  • Oversee reservations, table assignments and seating arrangements to maximize efficiency
  • Manage inventory and supplies, coordinating with suppliers as necessary
  • Assist with cash handling, daily reports and operational documentation
  • Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure seamless service
  • Foster a positive and professional work environment
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate updates and expectations.

Education and Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.

Experience and Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 – 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry
  • Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial position preferred
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service abilities
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of hospitality best practices and industry regulations
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
