Key Responsibilities
1. Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and growth targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across sea freight, air freight, and cross-border logistics.
- Leverage existing customer resources and expand the client base through proactive prospecting.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and service agreements to potential clients.
2. Team Leadership & Management.
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the sales team.
- Set clear performance goals, monitor results, and ensure accountability.
- Mentor, coach, and train sales team members to enhance their skills and performance.
- Foster a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
3. Customer Relationship Management.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive repeat business.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and effectively.
- Develop strategies to strengthen customer loyalty and retention.
4. Market Expansion & Strategy
- Explore and develop new market segments within Nigeria and internationally.
- Provide actionable recommendations to management based on market research.
- Contribute to the design of competitive pricing strategies and sales campaigns.
5. Reporting & Compliance
- Track, analyze, and report on sales performance and market developments.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in management meetings and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years proven sales experience in the logistics or freight forwarding industry (air & sea shipping).
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage sales teams to achieve and exceed targets.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Established network of customer contacts in the logistics sector is an advantage.
- Strong problem-solving ability, market awareness, and business acumen.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM tools.
- Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work under pressure.
