
The position incumbent shall support to the Lead Procurement & Supply Chain Executive and is responsible for supporting the procurement and supply chain function by handling day-to-day purchasing, supplier coordination, and documentation activities.
The Procurement Officer ensures that goods and services are sourced at the right price, quality, and time while complying with company.

JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Purchase Requisitions & Sourcing
• Receive and review approved purchase requisitions from user departments.
• Obtain quotations from prequalified vendors or identified suppliers.
• Conduct basic market surveys to identify competitive sources of supply.
2. Quotation Analysis & Recommendation
• Prepare and document quotation comparison sheets.
• Recommend the most responsive and cost-effective supplier to the Lead for approval.
3. Purchase Order (PO) Management
• Prepare, process, and track POs in line with approved specifications, budgets, and lead times.
• Follow up with suppliers to confirm delivery schedules.
4. Supplier Liaison & Relationship Management
• Maintain regular communication with vendors on order status, deliveries, and after-sales issues.
• Escalate persistent supplier challenges to the Lead for resolution.
5. Contract & Compliance Support
• Assist in drafting routine supply agreements using standard templates.
• Ensure that procurement transactions comply with company policy and regulatory requirements.
6. Logistics & Delivery Coordination
• Liaise with stores/warehouse teams to confirm receipt of items.
• Coordinate with logistics partners for timely movement of goods.
7. Recordkeeping & Reporting
• Maintain up-to-date procurement files, including POs, invoices, delivery notes, and supplier correspondence.
• Prepare weekly/monthly procurement status reports for the Lead.
8. Inventory & Stock Replenishment Support
• Monitor stock levels for commonly used materials and alert the Lead of re-order needs.
• Assist in periodic stock counts and reconciliation.
9. Continuous Improvement
• Suggest practical ways to streamline procurement workflows and cut cycle time. • Stay informed about market trends and new suppliers relevant to organizational needs.
EDUCATION:
- Minimum of HND in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- Aspiring to be a Professional of Chartered Institute of Procurement (CIPS), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certified Supply Chain Professional(CSCP) or recognized equivalent.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement or supply chain support roles
- Knowledge of procurement policies, basic contracting, and vendor evaluation techniques
- Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/procurement software
