
We are a quality-driven industrial services organisation that runs a mix of enterprise and custom platforms. We are hiring an IT Support Officer to provide first and second line support, handle setup and maintenance, and keep records and audits in good order.
Responsibilities Summary
- Respond to tickets onsite and remotely within the corporate network; resolve issues on Windows devices, printers, scanners, mobiles, and AV.
- Install and update approved software; assist with imaging, provisioning, drivers, and patching support.
- Support e-mail services, shared drives, Microsoft 365 apps, and connectivity. • Maintain comms rooms and manage cabling; support basic telecoms tasks.
- Troubleshoot and fix basic network and Wi-Fi issues and escalate when required.
- Tag and track assets to maintain inventory; assist with licence checks and equipment returns and disposals.
- Maintain documentation, knowledge articles, ticket notes, and maintenance notifications.
- Provide IT orientation and basic training for new staff; assist other departments.
- Promote safety, security, and risk-based thinking; identify and address hazards in line with company policy.
- Draft IT troubleshooting steps, knowledge articles, and other support and user educational content as required.
- Follow safe AI use guidelines, including redaction of sensitive data and adherence to security and privacy policies.
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
- 4+ years’ hands-on support or service desk experience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Windows, and common hardware.
- Basic networking knowledge; familiarity with remote support tools and endpoint protection platforms.
- Clear communication, customer focus, and sound ticket hygiene.
- CompTIA A+ or Network+, Microsoft MD-100 or MD-102, or similar training is a plus.
- Practical familiarity with AI-enabled helpdesk or Microsoft 365 features is an advantage.
