Applications are now open for the HKBU International Writers Workshop (IWW) 2026. It is a Fully Funded annual Residency Program, where writers from around the world come to Hong Kong and stay at the Hong Kong Baptist University.
The program duration is 4 Weeks, running from March 2 to March 29, 2026. The HKBU International Writers Workshop aims to invite writers from all countries to participate in the 2026 Writers-in-Residence Program. The Theme of the Program is “Here and There“. Participants will work on their writing and share their stories.
The Program ends with an IWW Literary Festival. There is no application fee, and it is a Fully Funded Program. More details are below.

Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants from around the world can apply.
- Have at least one published book.
- Currently reside outside of Hong Kong.
- Command of English or Chinese (Mandarin or Cantonese)
- Must attend the entire residency from 2 March to 29 March 2026.
- Attend the Literary Festival during the final week.
