Applications are invited for an MSc studentship starting in Autumn 2025 from candidates with a bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related discipline.
The project
Clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) is the most common form of kidney cancer. The project will investigate if targeting a cell stress pathway called the unfolded protein response may be effective in killing clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) cells.
The project will use cell and molecular biology approaches such as PCR, western blot, colony formation assays and MTT assays to investigate the impact of modulating the unfolded protein response in ccRCC.
