1. Programme Assistant – Wajibu Wetu Programme
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Contract Type: Full-time, Fixed Term (8 months)

Position Summary
The Programme Assistant for the Wajibu Wetu Programme will support the operational and administrative implementation of programme activities, helping to advance the organization’s work in civic engagement, social accountability, and inclusive governance. This position is designed to temporarily replace an existing staff member on leave, with a contract of 8 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day planning, coordination, and delivery of programme activities in collaboration with the programme lead and implementing partners.
- Facilitate communication and information flow among internal teams, stakeholders, and external partners.
- Assist in organizing events, workshops, stakeholder forums, and capacity-building sessions.
- Maintain up-to-date programme documentation, including reports, participant lists, minutes, and communication records.
- Contribute to data collection, entry, and consolidation for programme monitoring and evaluation.
Eligibility Criteria
- A Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Development Studies, Public Administration, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in programme support, preferably within an NGO, civil society organization, or public sector initiative.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with data and document management systems.
2. Programme Assistant – Public Private Development Partnership Programme
Location: Nairobi, Kenya
Contract Type: Temporary (5 months, with possible 3-month extension)
Start Date: Immediate
Position Summary
This temporary position supports the organization’s Public Private Development Partnership (PPDP) Programme, a multi-stakeholder initiative that connects public sector institutions, private enterprises, and civil society actors to promote sustainable and inclusive development. The assistant will be responsible for administrative, coordination, and logistical support to ensure smooth programme delivery during a staff absence.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide daily operational support to the PPDP programme team, including event coordination, travel logistics, and documentation.
- Coordinate with partner institutions and support communication between programme stakeholders.
- Assist in tracking project deliverables, compiling reports, and supporting data management efforts.
- Support the finance and procurement processes related to programme activities.
- Ensure accurate record-keeping and filing of programme-related documents, reports, and correspondence.
Eligibility Criteria
- A Bachelor’s degree in International Relations, Business Administration, Development Studies, Public Policy, or a similar field.
- At least two (2) years of experience in a project or programme assistant role, ideally in a development or partnership-focused environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple administrative tasks and coordinate with various stakeholders across sectors.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in office productivity software, including spreadsheets, calendars, and communication tools.
