Responsibilities
- Prepare and review the monthly Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss Account in line with IFRS and regulatory standards.
- Generate weekly performance ratios to provide insights on the Bank’s financial health.
- Conduct weekly and monthly bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of cash and bank balances.
- Prepare and post monthly journals promptly, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
- Monitor and track expenses to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
- Process PAYE, WHT remittances, and receipts documentation in line with statutory requirements.
- Support disbursement processes and ensure timely settlement of financial obligations.
- Prepare and present monthly management accounts for management review and decision-making.
- Provide support during audits by supplying accurate records and addressing audit queries.
- Raise internal memos for financial approvals and reporting purposes.
- Undertake other finance-related tasks as assigned by the Head, Financial Control.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
- Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA, ACA) in view or completed will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3–4 years’ relevant experience in financial control, accounting, or audit (preferably in banking or microfinance).
- Strong knowledge of CBN guidelines, NDIC requirements, IFRS, and tax regulations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting packages, and financial reporting tools.
