Job Purpose

The Head of Accounts and Finance is responsible for overseeing the financial health of the organization.

This role manages financial planning, reporting, compliance, risk management, and cash flow to support strategic decision-making and sustainable growth.

The position also ensures strong internal controls, adherence to accounting standards, and effective leadership of the finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic financial leadership and guidance to senior management.
• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and treasury.
• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements in compliance with IFRS and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Develop and monitor financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Lead annual budget preparation, monitor variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage audits (internal and external) and ensure regulatory and tax compliance.
• Evaluate financial risks, opportunities, and long-term obligations; propose strategies for growth and cost optimization.
• Supervise and mentor finance and accounts staff, ensuring capacity building and professional development.
• Maintain strong relationships with banks, auditors, tax authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Provide financial insights to support business expansion, investments, and funding decisions.
• Drive continuous improvement in finance processes, systems, and reporting standards.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.Professional certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CFA is required.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with at least 2–4 years in a senior leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, tax regulations, corporate finance, and financial planning.
• Proven track record in financial strategy, risk management, and business advisory.
• Advanced proficiency in financial software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and MS Excel.
