Job Summary

  • We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven leader to head our sales team at Carloha Nigeria. The Head of Sales will be pivotal in shaping and executing our sales strategy, ensuring that we meet and exceed our revenue targets in a competitive market. This role encompasses not only the oversight of the sales team but also the cultivation of strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
  • The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in sales leadership, exceptional communication skills, and a verifiable history of effectively executing sales activities to achieve the company’s strategic goals. 
  • This position requires a strategic thinker who can inspire and motivate a diverse team while navigating the complexities of the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy Development:

  • Craft and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with Carloha Nigeria’s overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape changes.
  • Set clear sales targets and KPIs that drive performance and accountability within the team.

Sales Operations:

  • Oversee the sales pipeline management process, ensuring accurate forecasting, tracking, and reporting of sales activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns that support sales initiatives.
  • Utilize CRM tools to monitor sales performance and streamline processes.

Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze sales performance metrics and data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and best practices.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to the Executive management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and strategic recommendations.

Team Leadership:

  • Develop a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating best practices in sales techniques and customer engagement.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for major accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Develop strategies for client retention and growth, identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the sales budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources to achieve sales objectives.
  • Monitor sales expenses and implement cost-control measures to enhance profitability.

JOB SPECIFICATION:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in sales, with at least 10 years in a leadership role, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Working experience in FMCGs, Insurance, Corporate Banking sectors is an advantage.

Essential Skills:

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of the Nigerian automotive market and consumer behavior.
