Job Summary
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced internal auditorwith strong knowledge of logistics operations, truck tracking, and accounting practices.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience using MEL and ZORA software for daily financial and operational transactions and a minimum of 3 years of relevant audit experience.
- The Internal Auditor will be responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting, monitoring operational efficiency, evaluating risk management controls, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular audits of logistics operations, including truck tracking, dispatch, and deliveries, to ensure accuracy and accountability.
- Review and reconcile financial records related to logistics, procurement, and sales transactions.
- Utilize MEL and ZORA software for tracking, reporting, and verification of daily operational and financial data.
- Assess internal controls, risk management processes, and compliance with company policies.
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, or irregularities in logistics, inventory, and financial processes.
- Prepare detailed audit reports with findings, recommendations, and corrective action plans.
- Collaborate with operations, finance, and logistics teams to strengthen compliance and operational effectiveness.
- Monitor adherence to budget, expense controls, and financial reporting timelines.
- Conduct periodic compliance training and guidance to relevant departments.
- Support management in decision-making through clear audit insights and process improvement recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal auditing, preferably within the logistics, supply chain, or transportation industry.
- Strong knowledge of truck tracking systems, logistics operations, and accounting processes.
- Proficiency in MEL and ZORA software (mandatory).
- Strong understanding of internal controls, audit standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and investigative skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
- Professional certifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIA) will be an added advantage.
