Laboratory Technician

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Collect, label, and prepare patient samples for analysis.
- Conduct routine and specialized laboratory tests following SOPs.
- Operate, clean, and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Record, analyze, and report accurate test results.
- Ensure quality control and calibration of laboratory equipment.
- Maintain laboratory records and safeguard patient confidentiality.
- Adhere to biosafety and infection control protocols.
- Assist in training interns or junior staff when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology or related field.
- Registration with Medical Laboratory Science Council (as applicable).
- Prior experience in a diagnostic or clinical laboratory is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of laboratory techniques and equipment.
- High accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to follow safety and quality assurance procedures.
