Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to support the successful delivery of an LNG project. The Planning Engineer will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, coordinating with cross-functional teams, analyzing project performance, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of the project phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 (or MS Project) in line with project execution plans.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to gather inputs for the schedule.
- Monitor project progress and update schedules accordingly, identifying risks and proposing mitigation plans.
- Perform critical path analysis, delay impact analysis, and progress measurement.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports including S-curves, histograms, and progress summaries.
- Liaise with subcontractors and vendors to ensure alignment of their schedules with the master project schedule.
- Participate in project review meetings and interface with project stakeholders.
- Support cost forecasting by integrating schedule and cost data for earned value management (EVM).
- Ensure compliance with project standards, HSE, and quality requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of planning experience, with at least 5 years on LNG or oil & gas EPC projects.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and MS Excel; familiarity with project control systems.
- Knowledge of project lifecycle in LNG projects including FEED, EPC, and commissioning phases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
- Experience working in multi-cultural, remote, or offshore LNG environments.
- Working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and HSE best practices.
