Job description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Production / Logistics Manager to oversee production operations and manage the efficient flow of goods, materials, and logistics processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating production activities, optimizing resources, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining operational excellence in line with company standards.

Key Responsibilities

Production Management:

Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to meet targets and quality standards.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as necessary to meet deadlines.
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Logistics & Supply Chain Management:

Manage inventory, warehousing, and distribution processes.
Coordinate procurement of raw materials and ensure timely availability for production.
Develop and manage transportation schedules for timely delivery of goods.
Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and logistics partners to optimize supply chain operations.

People & Process Management:

Maintain accurate records and generate reports on production and logistics performance.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Production Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production and/or logistics management, preferably in manufacturing or related industry.
Strong understanding of supply chain, warehousing, and distribution principles.
Proficiency in MS Office and logistics/production management software (e.g., ERP systems).
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, fluid checks, filter replacements, and brake servicing.
Conduct engine overhauls, transmission repairs, and other major repairs.

Communicate effectively with supervisors and other team members regarding vehicle status and repair timelines.
Ability to forecast preventive and prompt corrective maintenance should be an added advantage

Qualifications

SSCE, BSc, Technical, or trade test preferred.
5+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic of heavy-duty vehicles/equipment.
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) will be an added advantage
Strong understanding of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and braking systems.
Proficient with diagnostic software and tools.
Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
