State Coordinator of Programmes
Location: Delta/Akwa Ibom States, Nigeria
Reports to: Programme Manager/Director of Programmes
Contract Type: Full-time Position
Overview
The State Coordinator of Programmes will lead the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of all programme activities in Delta and Akwa Ibom States.
The role requires strong stakeholder engagement, programme management, and community mobilization skills to ensure the effective delivery of health, environment, and development interventions.
Key Responsibilities
Programme Management & Implementation Oversee day-to-day programme implementation across project sites in Delta and Akwa Ibom States.
Ensure all activities align with organizational objectives, donor requirements, and timelines.
Coordinate project launches, outreach campaigns, training sessions, and community-based interventions.
Supervise and provide technical support to field staff, volunteers, and implementing partners.
Stakeholder Engagement Serve as the focal point for government ministries, local authorities, partner organizations, and community leaders.
Build and maintain relationships with universities, hospitals, schools, and other community stakeholders.
Represent the organization at state-level meetings, technical working groups, and forums.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (MER) Track programme progress using approved monitoring and evaluation tools.
Collect and analyze data, prepare timely reports, and ensure accurate documentation of project activities.
Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for programme improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Environmental Management, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in programme management, preferably in public health, environment, or development projects.
Strong background in community mobilization, stakeholder engagement, and partnership management.
Experience working with NGOs, international donors, or government agencies.
Proficiency in MS Office, data analysis tools, and reporting software (Power BI is an advantage).

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Financial management and budgeting skills.
Fluency in English.
