About the Role

  • Tilden Development Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This full-time, on-site position is based in Lekki Phase 1 and requires a proactive professional with strong cost management expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost planning, analysis, reporting, and ensuring effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and manage BOQs and detailed cost estimates
  • Oversee cost control, planning, and reporting throughout the project
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure cost-effective solutions
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk analysis, and value engineering
  • Coordinate procurement and ensure material compliance with industry standards
  • Monitor project timelines and budgets, recommending cost-saving strategies
  • Validate quantities using AutoCAD drawings and quantity take-off software
  • Support contract administration and variation claims
  • Apply knowledge of building codes (e.g., NBC, ANSI/ASHRAE, LEED)
  • Ensure adherence to construction industry regulations and quality standards

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience, including site engineering roles
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, standards, and regulations
  • Proven experience with BOQ preparation and cost reporting
  • Familiarity with BIM and quantity take-off software
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other industry-relevant tools
  • Ability to manage multiple residential and commercial construction projects

Preferred Certifications

  • Membership in NIQS or other relevant professional bodies (highly desirable)
  • PMP certification (an added advantage)
