The Sisterly HQ Interns Program is an 8-week, full-time remote internship designed to give young Nigerian women practical, career-shaping experience while supporting purpose-driven organisations. The program is supported by Fora Network for Change and Virgin Unite.
The internship will begin on September 8, 2025, and end on November 7, 2025.
Interns will receive:
- A monthly stipend.
- Pre-program training for success.
- Ongoing mentorship, check-ins, and growth opportunities.

About The Host
The host organisation is an independent African-owned publishing house committed to reshaping how African writing is perceived globally.
Intern tasks include creating and scheduling content, running campaigns for book launches, engaging readers online, and supporting newsletters and author features.
Required: Strong communication and writing skills, creativity, basic knowledge of social media (Instagram/TikTok), openness to feedback, and a passion for books, storytelling, and African/Black diasporic cultures.

- You are a final-year undergraduate student or a recent graduate (within the past 2 years).
- You are based in Lagos and available to work remotely, full-time (40 hours/week) from September to early November 2025.
- You will have consistent access to a working laptop and reliable internet.
- You can complete the Sisterly HQ pre-program training before your internship begins.
- You will participate actively in mentorship sessions hosted by Sisterly HQ.
- You are ready to follow the onboarding, training processes, and mentorship program from both Sisterly HQ and your host organisation.
- You will complete all required reports.
- You are committed to excellence and open to feedback, supervision, and accountability.

- You cannot commit to the entire 8-week program or to 40 hours/week.
- You are unavailable for required training, mentorship, or check-ins.
- You are applying only for the stipend or as a short-term side hustle.
