Description
- We are looking for a seasoned Workshop Manager with a strong engineering background and extensive experience in heavy truck maintenance.
- The ideal candidate will lead our workshop operations, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and reliability of our fleet while managing a team of skilled technicians.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily operations of the workshop, ensuring timely and efficient maintenance of heavy-duty trucks
- Supervise and mentor workshop staff, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence
- Develop and enforce preventive maintenance schedules and repair protocols
- Monitor inventory of tools, equipment, and spare parts
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
- Liaise with logistics and operations teams to align maintenance activities with business needs
- Prepare and present reports on workshop performance, costs, and fleet condition
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a logistics or transportation company
- Proven expertise in heavy truck maintenance and workshop management
- Strong leadership and team coordination skills
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
- Familiarity with maintenance software and reporting systems is an advantage.
